Love stuffing, but hate waiting until Thanksgiving to break it out? With this Pecan Rice dish, you can get away with fabulous stuffing any time of the year! The added crunch of chopped pecans and a sweeter splash of golden raisins make for a unique recipe that could serve as a flavorful side dish, a tasty turkey stuffing, or a mouth-watering meal all on its own.


  • 4 cups cooked Texmati® Rice
  • ¼ cup butter
  • ¾ cup chopped onions
  • ¾ cup chopped celery
  • ½ cup chopped pecans, toasted
  • ¼ cup chopped parsley
  • ½ cup golden raisins
  • ½ teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning


  1. In large skillet, sauté onion and celery in butter until tender.
  2. Stir in remaining ingredients, mixing well.
  3. Spoon into casserole, cover tightly and bake at 375 degrees F. for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Recipe may be doubled and used to stuff a 10-12 lb. turkey.
