If you’re a big fan of shrimp, this recipe will have you racing to your kitchen to give it a try. The intoxicating savory flavor of garlic, onion, and bell pepper are a perfect complement to the naturally crisp fish, and an even better addition to your daily dose of grains! It also has a prep time of twenty minutes, so it’s a win/win for everyone.


  • 1 lb fresh peeled & deveined shrimp
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon minced green bell pepper
  • 1 tablespoon minced onion
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 tablespoons tomato sauce
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 3 cups cooked Texmati® White Rice


  1. Sauté garlic, onion, and bell pepper in oil.
  2. Add shrimp and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes or until shrimp turn pink.
  3. Stir in tomato sauce, salt, and pepper.
  4. Cook 2 to 3 minutes to season and heat through.
  5. Stir in parsley.
  6. Serve on a bed on Texmati® Rice.
