This is not your usual pork chops with applesauce. By leaving the apples in wedges, adding Tessamae's soy ginger dressing, and topping with scallions, you have a simple, tasty and gourmet dish on your hands.
3 tablespoons Tessemae’s Soy Ginger Dressing
4 bone-in pork rib chops, ½ to ¾ inch thick
2 firm apples, cut off core and sliced ½ inch thick
1/3 cup chicken broth or water
4 scallions, thinly sliced
Coarse salt and fresh ground pepper
Heat 1 tablespoon Soy Ginger in a large skillet over medium-high until sizzling.
Season pork chops with salt and pepper and add to the pan.
Cook until browned on one side, about 5 minutes.
Turn the chops over and brown on the other side, then transfer to a plate.
Add a little more soy ginger and then the apples to the skillet.
Cook until beginning to soften, about 5 minutes.
Nestle the chops back into the pan and add the chicken broth.
Simmer until the pork is tender, about 5 more minutes (If you have thinner chops you can cook them less, if you have thicker chops, cook them longer).
Stir in scallions and drizzle with more Soy Ginger before serving.
