Marinara Sauce Courtesy of: Nate's Rating: Select ratingGive it 1/5Give it 2/5Give it 3/5Give it 4/5Give it 5/5 No votes yet Servings: Prep: Cook: Total Time: Share this: facebook twitter pinterest email Print Description Ingredients 1 Tbsp. oil 1 medium chopped yellow onion 6 cloves crushed garlic 2 Tbsp. dried oregano 1 Tbsp. dried rosemary 1 tsp. dried thyme ½ tsp. red chili flakes 1 quart canned tomatoes 1 cup water 1 bunch chopped fresh basil 1 bunch chopped fresh oregano ¼ bunch chopped fresh thyme 2 tsp. salt ½ tsp. pepper ½ tsp. sugar Directions Heat oil and sauté onion, garlic and dried herbs until onions are translucent Add canned tomatoes and water; stir to thoroughly mix all ingredients Bring to a boil, and simmer for 30 minutes Stir in fresh herbs and let simmer 10 - 15 minutes more Remove from heat and purée Add salt, pepper and sugar.
