Korean BBQ Tofu Sliders

This recipe is the vegetarians answer to sliders, it will not disappoint. The BBQ sauce coats the fried tofu giving it a delicious flavor, when you add the Kimchi and sprouts the flavors play together beautifully and you can enjoy this quick easy recipe as an appetizer or a main dish.   • 1 package TofuPlus Sprouted Super Firm Tofu
  • 1 cup canola oil
  • 1 cup Korean BBQ sauce
  • 2 cups kimchi, coarsely chopped
  • 20-24 slider buns
  • 1/4 cup micro wasabi or other sprouts, for garnish


  1. Slice the tofu crosswise into 1/2-inch thick slices. Halve the slices.
  2. In a large, deep pot, over high heat, heat the canola oil.
  3. Fry the tofu in the hot oil for 3-4 minutes on each side or until crispy.
  4. Remove to a paper towel-lined plate and repeat until all tofu is fried.
  5. Brush the still hot tofu on both sides with the Korean BBQ sauce.
  6. Top each slider bun with a square of tofu, kimchi, and a few sprigs of wasabi. Serve warm.
