Grilled Cheese with Roasted Garlic & Prosciutto

Buttery grilled cheese is delicious on its own. But adding roasted garlic and savory prosciutto to this sandwich kicks it up a notch. Short on time? Add olive oil to pan over medium heat and pan roast the garlic.


Roasted Garlic Paste:

  • 12 cloves garlic
  • 4-6 tablespoons olive oil


  • 2 slices organic sourdough bread
  • 2-4 tablespoons roasted garlic paste
  • 4 slices prosciutto
  • 1-2 slices Organic Valley American Cheese Singles
  • 2 teaspoons Organic Valley Cultured Butter


  1. Roasted Garlic Paste: 1.Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Peel garlic cloves, coat with olive oil and place in a small oven safe dish.
  3. Cover and bake for 25-40 minutes (depending on size of cloves) or until garlic is golden in color and soft.
  4. Puree in food processor until smooth.


  1. Spread roasted garlic paste on the inside of one of the slices of bread and top with the Organic Valley America Cheese. Singles, prosciutto and the other slice of bread.
  2. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat and grill sandwich in skillet until browned on both sides and cheese is melted.
  3. Cut and serve immediately.
