Sometimes crumb cake is just not enough. Since dessert has always held a sweet spot in my heart, I decided to take my two favorite fruity treats and combine them. The result—you get the buttery streusel crumbs and the cakey cobbler topping with some luscious fruit sandwiched in between.
In this recipe I’ve used blueberries, but you can swap in your favorite fruit or seasonal farmer’s market finds. No need to adjust the sugar since you’re just scattering the fresh fruit over the cake batter and streusel crumbs. What could be better? I’m in love.
