These bears are the life of the party. We were so tickled at how they turned out. And, bonus, the graham cracker sand tastes awesome with the vanilla cupcakes!

All-natural blue food coloring
Bake your cupcakes and let them cool completely before icing.
While they’re cooling prep your frosting to the shade of blue that makes you happy.
And, while you’re at it, grind up graham crackers in a food processor. We made extra to keep on hand for ice cream later and are storing it in a mason jar. You could also use brown sugar too, but be conservative with that sprinkling!
Frost the cupcakes to make waves. We used the back side of a large ribbon tip to make our waves. If you don’t have a piping set, don’t worry! Frost with a spatula and it’ll look great.
For individual beach scenes, sprinkle graham cracker crumbs over half a cupcake and insert a cocktail umbrella. Then, arrange gummy bears and fruit rings to your liking.
For a full beach scene, arrange your cupcakes together first so you can assess how much beach/ocean you want and get decorating! This would also work great with a single sheet cake.
