What goes better with Van’s PB&J Bars than homemade almond milk? Not much, and what is even better is that the milk is homemade with only five ingredients. Delicious, nutritious and easy...it doesn’t get any better than that.
1 cup raw almonds
3 cups water
2 teaspoons pure maple syrup or agave
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
Put the almonds in a large bowl and cover with cold water. Let soak in the fridge overnight.
Drain the nuts and add to a high speed blender.
Add 3 cups cold water.
Blend the mixture for 1 minute at high speed.
Turn the motor off, and let stand for 15 minutes.
Strain the mixture using cheesecloth or a nut bag into a pitcher.
Stir in maple syrup, vanilla, and sea salt.
Refrigerate for up to 5 days.
