How do you make sure that the food you produce does not have any top 8 allergens?
Everything that Hilary’s creates is made with clean, real-food ingredients that are free from common allergens. For us, that means that every product is plant-based, and free from gluten, dairy, soy, corn, egg, and nuts. Our supplier control program ensures that every ingredient we use is free from common allergens, and we regularly test our products and ingredients for gluten.
Are your products made in a dedicated facility?
All Hilary’s frozen products are made in our dedicated allergen free facility in Lawrence, Kansas. That includes our Veggie Burgers, Veggie Bites, Veggie Sausages, Holiday Stuffing, and our new Millet Medley line. Hilary’s line of Salad Dressings are co-packed in a facility that follows good manufacturing practices, which produces on a clean line and stores potential allergens in separate areas of the facility.
What is your most popular product and do you have any new products coming out?
The “World’s Best” Veggie Burger was our original product, and is still our most popular. Our first customers named it, and we think it stands up to its name! Spicy and Apple Maple Veggie Breakfast Sausages just launched. Made with real food ingredients like millet, lentils, and hemp seeds, Hilary’s veggie sausages are certified organic, vegan, and free from the top 8 common allergens. They are so good, and are flying off shelves!
