When speaking with the owner she shared that she had been a business student that had traveled a lot and discovered a need in the market for variety in gluten free baked goods. Sure you might be able to find a cake here, a bread there, but there really was never any selection. No choices. If one out of every 100 people suffer from celiac disease she decided she would like to create more options for them. So she opened her first storefront business two and a half years ago in Red Bank, NJ. At that point she had perfected a gluten free pretzel, and her personal favorite, the cinnamon bun. To date her bakery offers gluten free; macaroons, cupcakes, cookies, brownies, birthday cakes, donuts and much more. They also carry dairy free and vegan sweet treats too. They have a cupcake of the month and offer mini cupcakes samples of the featured cupcake on the first of each month.
The Posh Pop Bakeshop has some exciting things on the horizon. They are doing a bread launch Saturday, May 23, 2015. If you live nearby it will be celebrated with an event in the shop during business hours. They are also in talks with Whole Foods Market and you will be able to get their sweet treats, regionally, in their bakery soon as well. If you live locally, gluten free or not, these sweet treats are delicious and will satisfy the pickiest sweet tooth.
