When I decided to become a vegetarian many years ago, feeding my family of five was the farthest thing from my mind. For me it was an easy decision, my diet was already very plant based. Taking the occasional chicken dish off the menu had little impact. Flash forward seven years and it has become a real chore to find meals that my three kids will also enjoy. We have our staples that we sort of rotate on the menu, but that can get a little boring. Unfortunately, the kids aren’t as adventurous, in their culinary tastes, as I might like, and this sometimes can create some roadblocks to a varied dinner menu.
When I found Nate’s Meatless Meatballs I have to say, I got a little excited. Protein packed, they are made from Non-GMO soy, which is really important. Equally important, the taste and texture are that of a traditional meatball and probably most importantly, my kids love them. Because they have a high vegetable protein count and fewer calories they are a perfect, quick after school snack. Nate’s Meatless Meatballs come in a variety of flavors, Classic, Zesty Italian and Savory Mushroom, which has definitely helped us out with our menu monotony. The kids request them at least twice a week and finish their plates, which is really all I can ask.
