Mambo Sprouts: Tell us your company's story.
free2b: In 2008, we received a fateful knock on our door. A father, with a jar of sunflower seed butter in hand, presented us with a challenge: create a candy cup that his peanut-allergic son could enjoy. Our chocolatiers got to work, and soon after, the very first Sun Cups chocolate treat was born. We have since expanded to make a variety of allergen-friendly snacks! We believe everyone deserves to eat fearlessly and live brilliantly!
MS: What are your most popular school favorite, allergy-friendly products?
F2B: Our Rice and Dark Chocolate Sun Cups and Sun Cups Minis are very popular school lunchbox additions. The minis are easy to bring along as they come in a re-sealable bag and our Sun Cups come in both 2-Cup and 1-Cup packs. The sunflower seed butter center makes them not only safe for school but more filling and nutritious than other snacks. They are also great for before and after school sports!
MS: Are your products made in a dedicated facility?
F2B: All free2b Foods snacks are peanut free, tree nut free, dairy free, wheat/gluten free, soy free, egg free, corn free, coconut free, mustard free, sesame free, fish free and shellfish free. We NEVER allow any of these allergens into our food or facility EVER.
MS: What are your Free-From tips?
F2B: Experiment in the kitchen! One of the most freeing things to learn to do is cook, especially if you live a free from life. Avoiding certain foods due to food allergies, sensitivities or by choice doesn't mean food can no longer be delicious or fun. We have many recipes on our website that are all free from the Top 12 Allergens!
